Author Fight Club, Thursday Edition!
Ugh, I apologize for the lack of Author Fight Club fun the past few weeks. My life has been…my life. Ahem. So, anyway, let’s duke it out!
The winner of “last week’s” challenge was Axel Howerton, with his assessment of how Dorothy Parker and her gang would fall at the hands of one Hunter S. Thompson!
This time, Axel pits Charles Dickens against Walt Whitman in an epic BATTLE OF THE BEARDS. Ladies and gents, cast your bets!
Shall the greatest novelist of the Victorian era prevail, his unsightly facial hair jutting out before him like a tale of too shitties? What do you call that style? Food men chewed?
Or shall it be Uncle Walt, swinging an ever-growing tome of poetry like some ancient forebear to the modern ebook, kicking leaves of grass?

So gather ‘round, children, and Beat! Beat! Some Ass! I’ve got Great Expectations about this one, and I can’t wait to hear how it goes!
To cast your vote, leave a message in the comments here, on FB, on twitter, or somewhere I can find it. Describe who would win in a fight, and why. You can go Fight Club style (theorizing on a real, physical skirmish), you can compare literary styles, you can sic characters on one another…go nuts!
Oh, wait. If you’re reading this, you’re probably already nuts. So just have at it!
