The best kind of girl is a quirky girl!
The whole Quirky Girl video is here. I tried to snip a preview for you, but tumblr is confuzzled by it. Sorry! Click and go enjoy poking fun at Zooey Deschanel, Drew Barrymore, Michael Cera (honorary quirky girl, right?), and ME, next.

So what brings up this topic? Why, it’s Day Three of my Troll Or Derby blog tour, and Mercedes Yardley and I get to talking about being a quirky girl. Turns out she and I have that trait in common. Go read her interview of me, if you’d like! I’d like it very much if you did! Don’t worry, it’s not just about us. It’s about other things, too, like roller derby, and trolls and things.
In other Troll Or Derby news, the March 2 Recovery total is up to $8. Remember only the paperbacks purchased through this link earn enough cash for me to dole some of it back out. (For the life of me, I don’t know why Amazon doesn’t pay as much as their own subsidiary CreateSpace, but they just don’t.) So help me help people recover from the devastating tornado that hit my area in March, and get yerself a paperback copy of Troll Or Derby in the process. Now through 7/13/12!

Also coming up 7/13, I’ll announce the winner of the random drawing to receive this awesome roller derby prize pack. Rollergirl socks, pink clip-in hair extensions, fairy magic wands, lashes, bath salts, who could ask for anything more? Well, there is more. And more and more and more.

I can’t wait to see what the winner does with all this stuff. I hope I get photos. In derby, we call our dressing up putting on our “derby drag.” You really do feel like a bit of a drag queen with the fake lashes and the fishnets and outrageous shoes. It’s fun. Your neighbors might not understand it, but it’s a hoot—and once you’ve gone derby, you’ll never go back, that’s for sure.
You ready? You hyped? Go see what rollergirl name I made up for Mercedes, and find out what position I think she’d play on the team.
