Troll Or Derby Release Party Roller Derby Awesomesauce Prize Pack of WIN

In case you’ve missed the big news, my new book is out.  

I’m very proud of it, so we’re celebrating over at Facebook.  (You should add me as a friend so I can invite you to the shenanigans.  If you want to put me on limited profile, it won’t hurt my feelings one bit.)

Readers have left me some great reviews, and I’m ecstatic!  In my jubilation, I’ve decided to deck out one lucky winner with a magical fairy/rollergirl prize pack.

The skate bearing necklace.  There are prettier iterations now, but back when I made the one above to fund my way to RollerCon, this was pretty much it.  And yes, those are my chipped nails in my team colors, very derby, yo.

Many a derby girl does not consider herself properly outfitted for a bout until she has on her eyelashes.  Envy MiYoni always had the best ones, on DCRG.

Jars full of pixies…because that’s the best place for them.  Especially if they’re chanting “We Will Rock You” at you.

So, what do all the above have in common?  They combine to create the fairy/derby aesthetic that one lucky winner will get to dive straight into, when he/she wins:

1.) Two pink clip-in hair extensions. These are not the crap kind you see at Hot Topic (aka Rollergirl SuperStore), either. These are made of real human hair. Just like Troll Or Derby baddie Dave would prefer! Clip these into your hair before bouts or events, trim them to the right length, braid them into your hair, whatever you want. You can even curl/flat-iron these things. Try it out. You might end up with pink or purple hair for realsies. That’s a lot of fun. :)

2.) One wildflower notebook, that Harlow would appreciate. Use it to jot down memories as they come back to you, or stories of your own, or maybe even poetic song lyrics to the derby queen of your dreams. How about saving spells andrecipes here? It’s up to you.

3.) A princess tiara. It might not look like much now, but wait ‘til the glamour’s on. It’s quite impressive when you’re under the influence of Faeth. And, hey, it’s fun even when you’re not.

3.5) Pink camo/glitter glam nail wraps, so you can turn on the crazy nail art at the drop of a hat, no special mani/pedi needed.  Trust me, when you play derby, it’s all getting messed up, anyway.  The nail wraps last a bit longer under regular duty.  Can’t wait to see how they look on the winner.

4.) Argyle knee socks for skating. Every rollergirl worth her salt owns upwards of two dozens of these socks and Roller Deb is no exception! Where these to the rink with pride!

5.) A jar of Faeth ingredients? Maybe. Maybe not. I don’t want to get arrested, so let’s just say this is a jar of Lavender & Wildflower-scented bath salts. Use it to soak in after a long roller derby practice. When the jar’s empty, save it for catching pixies in, and then scribble into your wildflower notebook by their magical glow. 

6.) A skate bearing necklace. A few years ago I sold these to raise funds to attend RollerCon and this is the last one!!! It never hurts to have an extra skate bearing on hand, just in case you burn through one with all that speed. Guy derby fans love these as much as gals. The chain is double-length, so you might want to only wear one of them, but I kept it long for you so you can decide.

7.) A glow-in-the-dark fairy wand. Need I say more?

8.) Rollergirl sparkle lashes. Falsies with rhinestones, my dears. All that glitters on April is not gold.

9.) And, lastly, green glitter eyeliner. Offset those pink fairy irises of yours with leprechaun green, won’t you?
