Forgetful fairy, 2010
This is what my brainwaves look like, most writing days. Rainbows & unis & rollerskates & all. I love my job!
Tomorrow, I awake and jump back into Joan’s world, as we kick ass across the Western US and tear down the social media wall.
Then, I need to finish writing acknowledgements and making other selections for chapter headings, graphics, etc inside Troll Or Derby. I’ll be on the lookout for roller derby fairy art. Got any to share?
Third task on the to do is catching up with another LouisvilleKY.com author interview. Katie McGarry on deck!
And after that, off to spend the day with the family doing SOMETHING fun. Not sure what yet. It’s been 97 degrees here this weekend and I’m dying. So…maybe swimmin’?
How about you? Anything fun? How’s your weekend been?
If you’d like to experience a little flash of the rainbow, click on the photo above or RIGHT HERE to download my flash fiction piece The Wizard Takes a Holiday, for free. If Kindle ain’t your thing, grab it Steve Jobs style on iTunes for $0. You Nookies can get it for free, as well. Also in pdf, etc at Smashwords.

Love this library. With all the globes, it looks like something out of Hogwarts, doesn’t it? Perhaps a more elegant wizarding world setting. Wizarding college, perhaps? How come we never hear of that? Hrm.
So, I was just checking, and right now, even though I raised the price on This Brilliant Darkness last week, it has only increased at iTunes & Smashwords, so far. That means at B&N, Sony, & Amazon, you can still save a buck on my 4.5 star dark contemporary fantasy thrill ride. Those links are here. I’d love to hear what you think of it.
I feel like all I do lately is talk about my current WIPs, but that’s only because I’m obsessed with them. I’m just being honest. :) It’s good to love the work, though, isn’t it?
One thing I want to achieve this holiday weekend is finding some line art to use inside Troll Or Derby. I’ve also got to finish acknowledgements and resend it to my formatter. I’m so impatient. I wish that it would all just do itself and do it today, like Molly Weasley’s dishes.
Looking forward to hearing from y’all about Deb and Harlow and fairies playing roller derby. I feel like I’m counting down to a vacation or something. Or to graduation. I don’t know what to compare it to.
So what are you up to this weekend? The beach? Applying for wizard college? Do tell.
